Submission Guideline

Dear Physicians and Research Colleagues,

The 30th Taiwan Joint Cancer Conference will be held from May 2 to May 3, 2026 (Saturday to Sunday) at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2. In addition to keynote and invited lectures by distinguished scholars and experts, the conference will feature an E-poster exhibition area. Members are cordially invited to present their research achievements from the past year.

This year’s paper competition is organized into three main categories:

1. Clinical Research

2. Basic and Translational Research

3. Real-World Oncologic Cooperation in Taiwan

We sincerely invite you to submit your work and take part in the event. Your participation will greatly enhance the conference.

I. Amendments in the Most Recent Two Conferences

29th Conference – Newly Added and Revised Regulations

● The Basic (including Translational) category has been renamed to “Basic/Translational Research.”

28th Conference – Newly Added and Revised Regulations

● New Category Added: To encourage multicenter and cross-institutional collaboration among medical institutions in Taiwan for cancer research, a new submission category titled “Real World Oncologic Co-operation in Taiwan” was established.

Category Definition

(1) Submitted papers must be based on clinical data research and involve substantive collaboration among at least three different medical institutions or organizations.

(2) At least one of the Principal Investigator (PI) or co-authors must be a full member of a TJCC participating society.

(3) Ongoing studies that are still in preparation are eligible for submission.

● In the Non-Member Registration Fee Regulations, item 3 was revised from “overseas non-members or exhibiting companies” to “overseas non-members.”

● In the Non-Member Registration Fee Regulations, a new item 4 has been added: submissions from exhibiting or non-exhibiting companies may be accepted for review; however, if accepted, they are not eligible to participate in the competition.

II. Paper Competition Stages

Submission Period: from 00:00 on December 1, 2025 (Monday) to 23:59 on March 6, 2026 (Friday).

Submission Method: please submit your manuscript online via the conference official website: https://www.tjcc.tw/

● Previously published manuscripts are not eligible for submission.

● This competition will be conducted in three stages: Preliminary Review, Secondary Review, and Final Competition.
The rules for each stage are outlined as follows:

Preliminary Review Late March In the second week of April, the list of submissions accepted for the first stage will be announced, and selected participants may begin preparing the E-posters.
Secondary Review May 2, 2026 (Saturday)

On the day of the conference, evaluation will be based on on-site physical poster presentations. All posters must be mounted by 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 2. Submissions that fail to complete poster setup by the deadline will not be eligible to proceed to the secondary review.

Guidelines:

1. Before 11:00, the secondary review list and evaluation schedule will be announced on-site, via the TJCC App, and on the TJCC website.

2. Selected authors must present briefly at their poster boards and respond to judges’ questions at assigned times.

3. Before 17:00, the list of finalists will be announced on-site, via the TJCC App, and on the TJCC website.

Final Review May 3, 2026 (Sunday)

Important Notes

1. Oral Presentation Time: each paper is allocated 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for Q&A.

2. File Format Requirements: please use the official template [Download Template]. Only PowerPoint files are accepted. File name format: 2026 TJCC-(Poster number_Presenter Name).

3. File Submission: the completed PowerPoint file must be submitted to the Conference Preview Room.

※ Failure to submit the file by 10:00 AM will be considered a forfeiture of final-round eligibility. Please prepare in advance and submit on time.

Final Presentation Schedule and Rules:

The final round will be held from 13:30 to 16:00, with oral presentations conducted according to the announced categories and order.

Presentation Timekeeping
Each presentation consists of 8 minutes for the oral presentation and 2 minutes for Q&A.
Timekeeping rules are as follows:

● 7th minute: One short bell

● 8th minute: Two short bells — end of oral presentation and start of Q&A

● 10th minute: One long bell — end of Q&A

※ Exceeding the allotted time will affect scoring. Presenters must strictly adhere to the time limits to avoid penalties.

Awards May 3, 2026 (Sunday) The awards ceremony will be held after the final scores have been compiled. All finalists’ presenters (i.e., the first author or a designated member/non-member) must be present on-site to receive the award in person. Failure to attend the awards ceremony will be considered a forfeiture, and the conference reserves the right to revoke the award. Awards will not be reissued.

III. Eligibility for the Paper Competition

Re-registration

● Regardless of any previous registration or submission history, all submitters are required to register a new account in order to submit a manuscript.

● The submitter must be either the first author or a valid member of one of the nine participating societies.

Member and Non-Member Regulations

● Members: the society selected at the time of registration will be used as the basis for counting the number of submissions from each participating society.

● Non-Members: at least one author must be a full member of a TJCC participating society, and this member must be designated as the award recipient for the paper competition.

Data Confirmation and Responsibility

● Once the information is confirmed and submitted, the account holder’s name, ID number, and email address cannot be changed.

● Please carefully review all information before submission. If any discrepancies arise due to incorrect entry, the applicant shall be solely responsible.

Submission Method and Deadline

● Submissions for this conference will be accepted online only. All manuscripts must be uploaded by the announced deadline, March 6, 2026 (Friday).

Eligibility
Eligibility is determined in accordance with the membership criteria of each participating society. Applicants must hold Full Member status in at least one of the participating societies.

1. Submissions from full members of the above-mentioned societies are free of charge. To participate in the paper competition, authors must complete registration and submission before the submission deadline.

2. Please click “Login / Register” on the conference official website homepage and complete the registration process according to the system instructions.

3. After registration, the system will automatically send an account activation email. Once the account is activated, you may log in to the website.

4. Please click “Login” on the homepage and enter your account credentials. Then proceed to the “Online Submission” page and complete the submission process following the system instructions.

6. Please note that receipts will be issued within one month after payment verification. For non-members who have completed registration and payment, refunds cannot be processed due to personal reasons. Prospective non-member registrants are advised to review this policy carefully. IV. Important Notes and Instructions for the Submission Process

1. Manuscripts that have been published or accepted for publication will not be accepted. Manuscripts that have passed journal peer review prior to the submission deadline will also be deemed ineligible.

2. The submission title must not be identical (in either Chinese or English) to titles previously presented at other academic conferences.

3. Submission Process

4. Manuscript Format Requirements

▼ Except for the abstract title, author names, and affiliations, which must be provided in both Chinese and English, the entire manuscript must be written in English.

▼ English Title Format: capitalize the first letter of each word, except for prepositions and conjunctions.

▼ Manuscript Structure: the manuscript should include the following four sections:

(1) Purpose

(2) Materials & Methods

(3) Results

(4) Conclusion

▼ Word Limit: the combined word count of the four sections must not exceed 1,000 words. Submissions exceeding this limit cannot be completed. Please ensure compliance with this requirement.

5. Personal Information and Manuscript Revisions

▼ Editing Personal Information: except for the national ID number and email address of the primary account holder (first author), which cannot be modified, all other personal information may be edited or updated.

▼ Revising Submitted Manuscripts: submitted manuscripts may be edited prior to the submission deadline, and additional manuscripts may be submitted under the same account before the deadline.

● Final Round Award Regulations:

Awards for the Clinical and Basic/Translational Categories the following awards will be presented:

Outstanding Award (1 recipient): prize of NT$50,000 and a certificate

Excellence Award (2 recipients): prize of NT$30,000 and a certificate

Merit Award (7 recipients): prize of NT$10,000 and a certificate

(If there is a significant imbalance in the number of submissions among categories, the number of award recipients and the award scheme may be adjusted accordingly.)

Awards for the Real World Oncologic Co-operation in Taiwan the following awards will be presented:

Outstanding Award (1 recipient): prize of NT$50,000 and a certificate

Excellence Award (1 recipient): prize of NT$30,000 and a certificate

Merit Award (3 recipients): prize of NT$10,000 and a certificate

● If the presenter (who must be the first author) is a non-member, the certificate will be awarded to the presenter, while the prize money will be granted to the designated Full Member of a TJCC participating society specified at the time of submission.

● Award recipients who are members must be present in person at the awards ceremony. Failure to attend will be considered a forfeiture of the award, and the conference reserves the right to revoke the award. No reissuance will be provided.

VI. Poster Upload Requirements

Posters at this conference will be presented through a combination of physical poster boards and E-Posters displays. Posters advancing to the secondary review will be primarily evaluated based on physical poster presentations.

● In support of environmental sustainability and ESG initiatives, all accepted papers will also be uploaded to the conference app. Authors are therefore required to submit an E-Poster file at the time of submission for digital display.
